Marvelous Mývatn

The pseudo craters of the Mývatn area are one of the natural wonders of Iceland, created by powerful steam explosions when lava flows over water. The Mývatn area has dozens and in our view, flying over them is the only way to fully grasp their enormity and formation.We also see how the black lava from one of Iceland’s most prolific and productive volcanoes, Krafla, has amassed throughout the centuries. .
