Glacier Lagoon – Jökulsárlón

Join us on full day adventure of the colourful highlands and south coast of Iceland. On this tour you will explore the some of Icelands most beautiful places which are riddled with history of eruptions, earthquakes and other natural phenomena.

As we make our way to the glacier lagoon, we will begin our expedition by flying through the highlands. Passing through the valley Þórsmörk, the rhyolite mountains of Landmannalaugar, geothermal areas, Laki crater row as well getting a closer look at Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Vatnajökull glaciers. As we travel along the glacier edges you will descover the incredible cracks and crevices in the outlet glaciers which are caused by them flowing outwards from under their own weight.

Flying back along the south coast you will see the stunning riverbraids in the glacial rivers that can only be seen from above. The riverbraids are everchanging and form in all kinds of colours and patterns over the black sands of Iceland.

During the course of the journey we endeavour to land at remote, secluded places where you can experience the calm and quite of the highlands along with the amazing backdrops Iceland has to offer.
