Hot Springs & Glaciers
Iceland is often called the land of fire and ice due to its volcanic activity and many glaciers. Because of this the island is bursting with wonderful sights to explore that showcase the great contrasts of nature.
The Hot Springs and Glaciers tour offers the option of choosing between two different routes.
Option 1
First option is to go for the south coast where we follow the coastline to Þórsmörk Valley towards Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. From there we head further into the highlands to the colorful mountains of Landmannalaugar and one of our most active volcanos Hekla. On the way back to Reykjavík we will pass the beautiful waterfall Háifoss and its neighbor Granni.
We will do one stopover along the way and you can choose from a landing at Háifoss, in Landmannalaugar or a glacier landing.
Option 2
Second option is going to Langjökull glacier, on the way there we will pass the highest waterfall in Iceland, Glymur. From the glacier we will travel to Hveravellir geothermal area and the colorful mountains of Kerlingafjöll. As we head back towards Reykjavík we will visit the beautiful waterfall Háifoss and then end with flying over Þingvellir National park to see how the continental rift has an incredible effect on our landscape.
We will do one stopover along the way and you can choose from a landing at Háifoss, at a geothermal site or a glacier landing.
