Fire & Ice

We head southwards to Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull, and explore the signs of its retreat. Also, we visit Kverkfjöll, where fire and ice meet in one of the most powerful high-heat geothermal areas of Iceland. We fly south over the glacier towards the glacier lagoon Jökulsarlon, then see the beautiful Eastern fjords, and Iceland’s highest freestanding mountain Snæfell, at 1833 meters.
